Answer: Tap the day on the calendar and then the "Start Period" button.

Answer: Ensure your iPad/iPhone has fully recharged/sufficient power. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Your device will now restart, but it will take longer than usual (a few minutes) for the device to complete the restart.
